SEP 28-29 DISCRETE PISTOL PERFORMANCE (FAIRFIELD, UT)

$550.00

Discrete Pistol Performance is all about running your carry or duty gear at the same level you would your USPSA set up. Going back to the roots of what a pistol is - it’s the firearm meant to be carried with you, ready to do work at all times. In this course, you’ll be introduced to similar training and techniques a USPSA shooter would utilize to level up their own performance - but you’re doing it with the everyday application in mind.

Topics Covered:

  1. Building consistency into speed

  2. The appendix draw, presentation, and reload (OWB also welcome)

  3. Grip - the platform in which your gun recoils in is the foundation to where all consistency will stem from

  4. Sights - identifying the appropriate level of “confirmation” for a specific target and avoiding an excess or deficiency in attention

  5. Trigger - There are several schools of thought on this and we discuss quite a few. In this course we’ll be identifying 3-4 different trigger activations to help you categorize efficiently which may be the best tool for the job

  6. Transitions and throttle control - this is nearly 90 percent of shooting but one of the most underemphasized pillars of most peoples training

  7. Intro to movement efficiency - We get into a little USPSA action and help find the happy medium between full gamer and tactardtician

  8. Equipment considerations - how much does gear matter, and what do I recommend for guns, optics, belts, holsters, ammo, maintenance.

2 Attempts per day at Cloak and Dagger Challenge Coin Standards. Students who pass 6/8 runs will receive a custom challenge coin, as well as their choice of sponsored prize (see below).

Gear Requirements:

  1. Quality Pistol (red dot equipped is ideal) with at least 5 spare magazines

  2. Kydex Holster (no leather/fabric holsters will be allowed)

  3. Magazine Carrier for reloads (neomag or sidecar style holster)

  4. Eye and Ear Protection (electronic preferred)

  5. At least 1000 rounds of chosen pistol caliber

  6. Sunscreen, water, snacks, foldable chairs

  7. Camera (recording is encouraged)
